Results Champion?: YES

Utah holds one of the best sets of Results measure outcomes in the nation. In economy, health, and government, it ranks in the top 10. It performs above average in most other areas as well. In education, the state features a well educated population possessing high rates of associate and bachelor degrees. Environmentally, the state has excellent water quality. Utah also has low rate of obesity, smoking, and high quality of life. The state leads the nation in use of technology and innovation in government.

The only two notable areas of problem in Utah are in air quality and cost of healthcare. In healthcare cost, Utah ranks 50th in the US. This is odd given the average comparative rate of uninsured. Intervening factors are not doubt a factor in this unusual circumstance.

Recommendations
Air quality and cost of healthcare should be improved in order for Utah to advance in the outcomes rankings. However, the state is already performing admirably, and these few poor performing areas seem to have limited impact on other state measures. Polishing the above average measures, such as in education, would make the outcomes in Utah even better.
